the terrace avenue inn

Greetings!

My name is Brenda Hedrick, the innkeeper and owner of the Terrace Avenue Inn. This is a tiny bit of my story – and I hope you will join us for a visit soon.

Anna Marie Bohnet was my French great-grandmother. I loved her romantic name, and enjoyed the family history that told of her strength and courage. In 1984, I established Bohnet Interiors, LTD, a complete interior design service. In 1994, for my new venture I opened Anna Marie’s Gift Shop. In 2008, the gift shop transformed into Anna Marie’s Teas and my daughters and I opened our guest cottage the Terrace Avenue Inn.

The inn is a Dutch colonial bungalow built in 1923 and fully renovated in 2007. A luxurious respite inside and out. We have two guest rooms both include full house access. On the first floor of the Inn you will find my other treasure - Anna Marie's Teas, a delightful tea shop specializing in premium teas and products, monthly tea parties and private events.  With over 80 premium loose leaf tea choices, our guests really do enjoy tea service anytime!  www.annateashop.com.

My daughters and I host our monthly themed tea parties and events in my home across the street from the Terrace Avenue Inn.  A stately 3 story, 5000 square foot home built in 1913. The house boasts Frank Lloyd Wright details - oak trim, 3 fireplaces and large open spaces. It’s large wraparound porch and period American, French and English antique furnishings create the perfect setting for themed tea parties - served on my 30 year collection of china, silver and glass dishes. Our tea parties are very elegant – yet cozy enough for your dearest friends and family.

Warmest Regards,

Brenda
